22Bet APK for Android: download and installation

22Bet offers a native Android app that is not listed in the Google Play Store. It comes as an APK file, an installation package you download yourself and install on the device. All data on the 22Bet app covering Android, iPhone and push notifications is collected on the brand page.

Most details about the APK come from a single source: goal.com, an edition for the Indian market. There is no German confirmation of the file size, system requirements or installation route. Where the Uptodown portal gives different figures, both values are shown side by side. None of the sources names a version number for the app.

Where the 22Bet APK is available

According to goal.com, the 22Bet APK is only available on the official 22Bet website; the app is not listed in the Google Play Store.

The reason lies in Google Play's rules. For Germany, Google Play only allows sports betting, horse racing and lotteries as gambling apps; online casino games and virtual slot games are missing from that list. Developers may instead offer their APK on their own website, provided users agree to the installation of unknown apps. This is exactly the route 22Bet takes.

Size and Android version

For the Android APK, goal.com gives a file size of 55.36 MB. The same source also lists a second figure, “App Size 156 MB”, without saying whether it applies to Android, iOS or the storage needed after installation. So plan for more free storage on the device than the bare size of the file.

Uptodown lists a 22Bet app file of 53.19 MB, the package name org.bet22.client and 39 permissions. The two values are just over 2 MB apart.

The sources disagree on the Android version. According to goal.com, the app runs from Android 6.0, plus a processor of 1.2 GHz or faster. Uptodown, by contrast, states: “Requires Android 7.0 or higher”. On a device with Android 7.0 or newer you meet both requirements, on Android 6 only the one from goal.com.

For Apple devices, goal.com names iOS 12.0 or newer. An APK cannot be installed there, however, because iOS does not support the format. The App Store situation is disputed: according to goal.com the app is available there, while a search via the iTunes interface for Germany on 08.10.2026 found no listing. Installation step by step

According to goal.com, the installation route has three steps. What lies behind the second step depends on the Android version of the device.

1. Download the APK. Download the Android app from the official 22Bet website. The file size should match the goal.com and Uptodown values given above.

2. Allow the installation. Android blocks the installation of apps from sources other than Google Play until you allow the installation of unknown apps; this permission has to be granted before installation. From Android 8.0, it applies only to the app you open the file with, for example the browser or the file manager. Up to Android 7.1.1, the switch is called “Unknown sources” and sits globally under Settings › Security; Android recommends allowing only the individual app where that option is offered. The term in the goal.com instructions comes from these older versions.

3. Install the APK. After granting the permission, tap the downloaded file and confirm the installation.

If the installation stops with an error message, one answer in a user forum names three possible causes: the device is not compatible, the file is damaged or incompletely downloaded, or installation from that source is not allowed. One user also reports a greyed-out switch that would not grant the permission at all.

APK portals and safety

Besides the official site, a search for “22bet casino app” also brings up the APK portal Uptodown. It has a page for the 22Bet app and presents the file there as the official version. For visitors from Germany, however, Uptodown shows no download but the notice: “Download not available in your location”.

A file from a portal does not come directly from the operator, even if the name and icon look the same. Whether it is unmodified can only be checked to a limited extent from the outside. Clues are the package name, org.bet22.client on Uptodown, and the file size. If a file differs clearly from the sizes given above or carries a different package name, that is a warning sign.

Google Play Protect stays active for installations outside Google Play as well. It checks apps during installation, including those from other sources, and can block known malicious apps. A Play Protect warning for a casino APK is a reason to check the origin of the file again before continuing. When an app is installed, Android can also restrict sensitive device settings such as accessibility. They can only be unlocked via “Allow restricted settings” in the app info, which Google advises against unless you trust the developer; some steps apply only from Android 13.

On the app's gameplay quality there are only individual user voices. One reads: “The software is top and the Android software too, and very clear!” On Uptodown, one user writes that the app does not stutter like some others he has used; another reports “no stutters or crashes so far” with live baccarat and betting. There is no systematic data on loading times or crashes.

Push notifications

According to goal.com, the 22Bet app sends push notifications, while the mobile website does not. The source does not say what the notifications contain, such as promotions, results or account notices.

Anyone who does not need notifications can use the mobile website and skip the download, the permission and later APK updates.

There is no APK on the iPhone. There, according to Apple, a web app added via “Add to Home Screen” with “Open as Web App” can also send notifications.
